Join us in our campaign to make Carmunnock a safer place to live. Too many cars currently speed through our village  and as well as working closely with local authorities and police on this subject , your community council are launching a campaign for all villagers to get behind. We will be working hard to reduce the number of HGVs passing through our village, increase the number of speed-sensitive signs to help remind drivers of the speed limit and setting up more adhoc speed traps by local police, to catch persistent offenders, as well as other initiatives.

But you can also play your part by driving at 30 miles per hour yourselves and in doing so, encourage drivers behind you to do the same!

You may have recently experienced some difficultly getting a decent picture on your TV or just had the odd disruption from your usual picture. This is unlikely to have anything to do with your equipment and more likely to be caused by interference with the signal, caused by the recent Wind Farm on Eaglesham Moor. ScottishPower, owners of the Wind Farm, have been working closely with your Community Council to resolve this matter.
